California Traffic Signs

Since 1980, I’ve been trying to preserve a small part of California's transportation history.

To do this I collect 1) Old porcelain enamel traffic signs erected from 1920 to 1960. My collection has over 90 signs erected by the Automobile Club of Southern California (ACSC), the California State Automobile Association (CSAA) and the State Division of Highways (now Caltrans). 2) Highway related items such as books, lanterns, manuals, maps, magazines and sign charts, and 3) Photographs of signs still in use or in private collections. Currently I have over 400 photos.
